I have a few questions for any of you out there who are using X with Eiffel 2.2. I am looking into getting the Extended Edition of Eiffel 2.2 for Xenix and was wondering what X libraries are required in order to use the graphical windowing classes. The recent Release 2.2 Overview posting says, "The graphics library and tools require that X version 11.3 be installed." Will it be enough to get Xlib ported over to Xenix? My understanding is that SCO is only offering X windows for their new product SCO Unix 3.2 not for SCO Xenix 2.2.3 (which is what I have). Has anyone already ported X 11.3 to Xenix 2.2.3? Will I also need to use a specific networking library? I have Excelan's TCP/IP package for SCO, but its socket interface doesn't look like BSD's socket library. Will this be a problem? Answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. -- Gary Wright ...!uunet!hsi!wright Health Systems International wright@hsi.com
