[net.auto] anti-lock brakes

Another [law suit based] reason to squelch anti-lock brakes: no pretty
black marks on the street for the investigators to measure. Collision
mechanics would take a new twist ... computer simulation ... but who
would like to have a computer testify against them.

By the way, didn't Ford have some sort of anti-lock brake system
available on the Continental some years back [or even now]?

I believe the German police opposed anti-lock brakes for that very reason.
Who cares whether the participants in the accident survive or not, what's
important is making sure you can analyze the accident afterwards and sort
out blame, right? :-(
