The trucks in Japan have three lights on the top of the cab. The number of lit lights indicates the speed range the truck is travelling at. I don't remember the change points, but it seems that the difference between 2 and 3 was the speed limit on the normal highways. My grandparent's Buick of many years ago had an option that allowed them to set a marker on the speedometer, and any time the speed exceeded that marker, a buzzer would sound. I remember that my grandfather kept it set about 63 mph (when the CA limits were 60 state wide) -- ________ ( ) Don Stanwyck @( o o )@ 312-979-3062 ( || ) Cornet-367-3062 ( \__/ ) ihnp4!ihuxr!stanwyck (______) Bell Labs @ Naperville, IL

BMW 325's also have a buzzer setting to alert the driver when the chosen speed is reached.
