Here's a repeat of my request which got no response-- (am i the only one trying to use the Xwindow classes of Eiffel???) i am running X11r3 on a Sun 3/60 with OS4.0 when i try to run the Eiffel browser "good", it gets an immediate segmentation fault. When i try to run the examples provided by ISE, they get various exceptions.. when i try to fix an exception, another appears not far along in the code... is it me, or ISE, or none of the above? so far no reply to my direct request to ISE. Thanks.

I thought I was the only one using the graphics library. I assume you are using Eiffel 2.2. I had the same problem -- the demos did not work. I called ISE several times and they finally found a bug in pass 2 of the compiler. The demos don't give exceptions anymore, but they don't run very well either. The demo that is supposed to draw all the shapes on the screen does not work well at all. ISE said that they know this and have a better version they would send me. Have not seen it yet. There have also been a couple of fixes posted on the net. I suggest calling ISE (I never have any luck with e-mail) and talking to Jean-Marc Nerson. Tell him you want all the fixes to the known bugs.
