<eat this> Let us start with the word; FIERO is pronounced FEE-AIR-OOH (Italian, meaning "proud" and Spanish, meaning "fierce" and doubt several other languages also). I am the PROUD owner of one of the few (pronounced RARE) 1984 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car versions, which has this cute little 4 banger (appx 100 hp). There is a conversion kit available for the four cylinder that will turn it into a 300 hp starfighter (I start as soon as the parts arrive). However, back to the V6. Note that this is a Chevrolet V6 and is made from the same block that Chevy has had terrible problems with in its other cars. The four banger is made by PONTIAC, as are all the build-up parts to create a firebreathing Super Duty engine. The iron duke has no problems when compared to the Chevy V6. I will not tell you NOT to buy it. Just be cautious.
