Are you and yours tired of being subjected to the relentless pursuit of
thousands of mothers who are screaming bloody murder just because some drunk
ran over their loud mouthed rug rat? If so, don't get mad, don't get even,
instead join:

Special rates and privledges being offered to charter members include:

discount at selected bars and clubs.

	4)	An oversized keyring (easy to hold on to when you have had a
	few).

	5)	A special edition breath analyzer that says "Let's go for a

Humph! An upstart organization trying to break into the field already
staked out by the organization created some years ago (I have witnesses!):

ADD -- Always Drive Drunk

(Of course, we never organized... We just had another beer...)

That is the sickest thing I have read in a long time. If it was intended
to be funny, it should be in net.jokes, not in net.auto. I'd be willing
to bet if it were YOUR "loud-mouthed rug rat" that was run over by a
drunk, you'd see how insensitive and cruel your posting is. MADD is a
group of serious people attacking a serious problem, and it is attitudes
like this that make the problem so very difficult to combat.

I hope you see how hurtful and mindless your note was and apologize to
the people you have undoubtedly offended.

I wholeheartedly support the cause of MADD. While I also appreciate good
natured humor targeted at certain social groups, I (and I feel safe in
saying others as well) find nothing humorous in this.

reason he or she chose not to sign it.)
