This is a complete Unix system with bitmapped graphics and a windowing
system, not a toy. Mouse, real VM, three serial ports, parallel port,
built-in pseudo-speakerphone and 1200 baud modem. The VoicePower board
lets the system control two phone lines, answer the phone, send and decode
touch tones and record and playback digitized audio at any of three
sampling and compression rates. All of this has a simple shell interface
for writing csh scripts as well as mouse-based sample editors. There's an
answering machine program from AT&T with a mouseified interface and complete
remote control. Set up your own 976 number, demon dial radio stations,
make insanely intricate interactive answering machines ("press 1 to leave
a message, press 2 to try a card trick, press 3 to commit an antisocial act").
Be the envy of others.
