Intl Symposium on Waste Management Problems in Agro-Industries. 25-27 Sept. Istanbul. Emphasis on this IAWPRC mtg will focus on - - pollution profile in Agro-industries. Waste charaterization and cathegorization - problems of effluent quality management - control and treatment technologies. The concept of pretreatment - waste management problems in hot and cold climates. Agro-industries in tropical countries - in-plant technologies - treatment of strong wastes: fundamental and technological aspects - energy recovery and reuse systems - aspects of sludge utilization and disposal. Deadline for abstracts was Oct 1988. Comment from Moderator ====================== From earlier experiences of moderators, we have found that information on forthcoming symposia, mtgs, etc. also enable people to establish contacts electronically before they meet (for the first time!) at such mtgs. Dr. Jon Iza (U.S.) will be presenting results of his work on the treatment of cane vinasses at meso and thermophilic conditions in Istanbul. Q: Are there others who plan to be in Istanbul ?
