Kenya Industrial Estates Ltd has developed a lamp using methane gas fuel which is suitable in rural households. It is built with ordinary deep drawn aluminum sheets. The lamp's rating is estimated to be about 40 Watts and is suitable for reading and writing. Cost: 500 shillings (USD 31.00).
