8th International Training COurse on Biogas Technology.
April 16 - May 28. P R China.
The course has been jointly organized by BRTC (Biogas Research
& Training Center for Asia & Pacific Region, Chengdu), UNDP and
FAO. The objective of the course is to provide a more complete
understanding of the Chinese biogas technology and its use; and
to provide training and information on :
- the new developments of rural family size biogas digesters
  and a comprehensive utilization of biogas technology in
  rural areas
- technologies of large and medium-sized biogas projects with
  waste waters of distilleries and sugar refineries, livestock
  manure and domestic sewage, etc. as fermentive materials
- the technology of urban human excreta biogas septic tanks,
  taking the control of urban pollution as the main objective.

Practical training will enable trainees to understand the applicable
scopes, basic principles, socio-economic benefits and investing
cost of the various main biogas technologies, to know the complete
process from selection of technologies, design, installation
and operation to maintenance and to master the techniques of
design and construction of family size biogas digesters.

The training course will also include study tours to various
biogas digesters. Course fee: USD 3192
