[net.auto] Cars for sale

bfb@houca.UUCP (08/10/84)

Since I have moved to NJ I'm selling my two convertables.
The cars are in Ft. Worth, Tx.

First 64 Datsun 1500
Not many of these around. Somewhat original looking but
          with a 1600 moter and a five speed from a 2000. For
those that care the five speed has the porsche type
          syncros and a splined 5th gear. The 1600 is a 3 main
bearing motor with 2000 pistons giving a 8.5-1 comp.
ratio. The engine and transmission have about 10000
miles since major (every moving part replaced or rebuilt)
overhaul. Suspension mods include Koni shocks, larger
sway bar, and stiffer springs. Now for the bad part.
The car was smashed about 18 months ago and is now
(and has been for a while) 80% complete. Most of
what is left is interior work. Asking $1750

Second 56 Austin Healey 100-4
Drove to where it is now. Porsche kept reminding me
how hot and rough British cars are. Great fun though.
For those not familiar with the 100-4 it is the car
that came before the 3000. For those not familiar
with the 3000 you probably have no interest in a 100-4.
This car was built from a basket case and I really hate
to sell it but its in may fathers driveway. Not a show
car but looks good enough to get looks at stop lights
(for true motoring fold the windscreen down). Ran
as good as any British car when it was parked. White
with blue 72 spoke wires. Asking $3750
