In the file make.doc of Ghostscript package there is the following... The cc.bat and ccna.bat files use the -1 compiler switch, i.e., compile for 80186/80286. This is the correct setting for ATs and compatibles, as well as 80386 systems and for PCs that have been upgraded with a V20 processor. If you are compiling for a >>standard PC with the 8088 (or 8086)<< processor, remove this switch. Ghostscript should work properly on a standard PC, except for the -T switch which assumes the use of the ENTER instruction in the standard procedure prologue. > Has anyone a gs.exe compiled (for a standard PC) with this switch > "removed". I don't have turbo C or a 2/386 and gs.exe's > compiled with this switch --as all downloadable ones from ftp cites are-- > bombs on my XT compatible. If you have one could you possibly mail it to > me --preferably in the .arc format or if neccesary, tar'ed and compressed. > thanx. /trappio@cunixc.cc.columbia.edu /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\ / 0 0 0 0 \ / \---/ Live Long and Prosper. . . \---/ \ /-----------------------------------------------------------------------------\
