Trappio, The "warning: undefined structure" messages are an artifact of the way I get around C's lack of data abstraction. You get them whether or not you use a RAMdisk. Ghostscript addresses the EGA frame buffer and controller registers directly. I've never read any of the VGA documentation, so I don't know how compatible they are. If you want to pursue this question, you might try reading the code for GDEVEGAD.C, specifically the macro and parameter definitions near the beginning of the file that deal with the register and I/O port numbers and the base address of the frame buffer.
