I'm also curious about the same subject. I know that Ghostscript from the Free Software Foundation is beta testing version 1.4. Version 1.3 worked on a PC, and would allow limited previewing of postscript on an ega or vga display. I think the code has been targeted for X-windows, but maybe somebody with the SDK could try and get it running under windows. Version 1.3 was not a complete PS implementation. I could never get it to preview output from a dvi to PS type translator, but it would preview tek2ps output and some other types of PS graphics output. I have seen postings in the gnu.ghostscript.bugs news group that version 1.4 will preview dvi to PS output under X-windows (but obviously with a few bugs). -- Kevin Allred allred@emx.cc.utexas.edu allred@ut-emx.UUCP
