[net.auto] Chevy/GMC trucks: cooling system

Have any of you owners of full size Blazers	(or Chevy/GMC
trucks) replaced the fan with	one that moves more air?

  I have a 1980	4wd Blazer

     - with heavy duty cooling

     - without air conditioning

I've just had	the radiator core, radiator cap, fan clutch,
and thermostat replaced. Also replaced were upper and lower
radiator hoses and clamps (total bill	= $463). The OEM core
self-destructed apparently after repeated operation at high
temperatures and pressure, despite normal indication on the
  temp gauge.

The owner of the radiator repair shop	pointed	out that the
OEM 3-blade fan really wasn't	sufficient to move air through
the radiator on hot days. He	couldn't locate a fan with
more blades that would fit the Blazer.

I'm interested in whether anyone has tried a fan with more
blades for improved cooling performance in their Blazer/GMC
  Jimmy.
