New Porsche info:
- The Porsche Bus has been introduced. This 9-seater (a 9-seater
porsche!?! How about a 2+7? :-) is based on the VW Vanagon, and
sells for 150 000 DM (I guess about US$60 00). It has a Carrera 3.2
liter engine with 231 hp, propelling it from 0-100 km/h in 9.6 seconds
and a top speed of 185 km/h. It rides on 205/70VR14 tires, and
optionally on 215/60VR15 front and 235/55VR15 rear. Write to Dr.-Ing.

- The 944 Turbo compares to the normal version (in Europe) as follows:
944 163 DIN-hp 218 km/h 44 000 DM
944 Turbo 220 DIN-hp 245 km/h 67 000 DM
And there are no air intakes on the nose (as in 924 Turbo).
- The Group B version of the 911 is apparently called the 911 Super.
The latest info (which is not extremely reliable) calls for production
in the winter of 200 cars. It is reported to have a four-cam engine
with water-cooled cylinder heads and 400 hp...
- The Porsche 911 SC/RS is a homologation version of the new Porsche
rally car. Even with the higher ground clearance it beats 300 km/h.
The engine produces around 300 hp from 3.2 liters *without* a turbo!
Again, we'll never see it here...
