[ I don't believe in line-eat... AAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIII!!! *gulp* ] My brother has a 77 Matador ( don't laugh unless you've owned one ) which I will soon be seizing control of. We recently put a 343 from a 69 (?) rambler in it that we pulled from a jeep. While it was in the jeep, it ran beautifully, and got very little use. It sat for a while unused before we pulled it. When we finally got it in the Matador, we found out that it kept over- heating. It seems that whenever the car is used, rust particles in the coolant clog the radiator. I'm not absolutely sure this is the cause, but the water pump is working fine, as is the thermostat. When we back flush the system, the water comes out clear after a few minutes, but turns rusty again when the car is driven. Has anyone else had similar problems, or have any suggestions?
