Volkswagen of Canada recently announced some more information about
the new Golf, including prices and availability.
Alas, I don't have a copy of the new price list at hand, but the base
Golf is going to cost about $500 CDN more than last year's base
Rabbit. And you can bet your bunny it's not going to be worse
equipped!
All Golfs, Jettas and Convertibles will have the 90 hp engine next
year. ( :-) :-) :-)) The GTI and GLI will feature a new, 1.9 litre,
100 hp engine that will make them the fastest VWs ever sold on this
side of the Atlantic.
The `normal' Golf models will be available at the dealership in the
first week of November, but the GTI is not expected until the end of
January 1985. :-(
