An early submission for your 'understatement of the year' contest:

Page 143, 1st paragraph:

"SunOS is based upon a UNIX operating system, and as such it allows
 broad freedom in selecting names for files.  For example, a UNIX
 operating system file name can be up to 255 characters long.  DOS
 file-name conventions, on the other hand, are somewhat more
 restrictive."
