[u3b.tech] Problem adding a second disk to 3B2/310

map@casux4.uucp (Mike Pearce) (09/15/89)

I am trying to add a second ST506 disk to my 3B2/310,
that has the XM connectors on the back.

I just have a ST506 drive and a power-supply.
I noticed that the two connectors on the back
of my 310 have the same number of pins as the
drive I wish to add. When I connect the second
drive to the 310 using these two connectors,
the 310 does not see the second drive.

Can anyone tell me what I have to do to
the cables between the second drive and the 310 to
allow the 310 to see the second drive.

probably nothing.
have you set the 'drive select' jumper(s) on your new drive?
