A friend of mine had a similar experience with Sears. She brought her car in to have a new tailpipe put on and we wound up going back 4 times to make the thing stop clunking around. When we brought it back the first time they tried to tell us it was like that before they worked on it and that we would have to pay them even more money to fix it. After yelling at the manager for a while we convinced them otherwise. They also tried to tell us something else was wrong with the car because of some "sound" it was making. It turned out there wasn't anything wrong with it. The only reason we went to Sears in the first place was because we were going on a trip the next day and Sears said they could have it fixed that day.
