I recently posted an open invitation for recommendations of MS-Windows application programs. I also wanted a good mouse driven flow-charting program. As promised here is the summary: <jeff>: Recommended calling Microsoft and ask for publications concerning windows applications. I did and promptly received the following: MS-Windows Software and Hardware Directory Spring 88. Windows Shopping: A catalog of products for MS-Windows These were somewhat helpful and a good place to start. <Randy>:Recommended Design/2.0 by Meta Software and Micrografix Draw! <Brian>:Recommended Micrografix Designer as a flowcharting program and seemed pleased with the application when used for this purpose. Also informed me about comp.windows.ms. <Rob>: Suggested that I ftp draw.arc from sun.soe.clarkson.edu as a flowcharting program. <Page>: Also recommended Micrografix Designer. Examples of the features were also stated. Page says Designer is "way ahead of other Windows drawing tools in terms of redraws, hanging while repainting, etc". Noted that Micrografix Draw Plus is available for less money but also with less features. States that Designer allows for quick pasting of user created symbols as well as a "nifty" symbols library. Well I know that was a short summary, but that is all I received. I think Im going to try Micrografix Designer. On the note of good communications programs: Microsoft recommended Windows Intalk by Palantir. It supposedly is loaded with features. I have ordered the package but there seems to be a delay. Thanks for all the input.
