I have an application where I do a large number of computations and
then display a graph in a child window. As I display to the child window
I also write to a metafile. This is so when the window is obscured and
then selected again, I don't have to recompute everything just to redisplay
the graph.
My problem is that I then continue to add things to the graph. But, from
what I can tell, once I close a metafile, there is no way for me to reopen
that metafile and add things to it. Or, I don't believe I can playback a
metafile which has not been closed. So, say for example I draw a graph and
write that to a metafile. I then obscure the window that contains the
graph. Later, I want to write some text to that graph. So, I redisplay the
window with the graph, using playback to display the graph again. I then
display the text. But, can I add that text to the graph's metafile? Any
help would be appreciated. Thanks.
