I have a logitech mouse contected to a serial port on a 286 machine. When using this mouse with windows i have frequently "locked" windows, the only way to recover seems to be to reset the machine. I haven't been using windows for long so i dont know if this is a common problem or not. I have also noticed that if i move the mouse while windows or an application is loading I have the same problem. This apears to have something to do with the mouse, because i do not have any problems when using windows without the mouse. Any information on this problem would be greatly appreciated. thanks, ken ************************************************************************** silly disclaimer goes here. ************************************************************************** #! rnews

Have you perhaps also installed the software that causes the mouse to emulate cursor keys? If so, try taking it out. It overloads the hardware with interrupts, and DOS gives up. You can't always catch the message.
