[comp.windows.ms] compiling windows apps with the -FPi87 flag

adam@cfi.COM (adam) (03/14/89)

I'm trying to compile my application to require the use of a floating point
coprocessor, which is -FPi87. One reason for this is to see if I can get
away with not needing win87em.exe around. However, if I link without win87em
I get a link error (it tries to link to mlibc7.lib and gets a multiple def-
inition error), while if I do link with win87em, it still requires win87em.exe
to be around. Is this possible to do?

And while we're on the topic of flags, does the flag -G2 (use 286 insructions)
do anything?

thanks for any and all pointers or handles on this.
