Here's a follow up on a message about problems folks have been having running WinQVT 3.2 (shareware VT100/220 emulator) hanging under Windows 2.1. I wrote the folks at QPC Software who market the program and they replied in an amazingly short time! I'm passing on their information: "What you are experiencing is a problem that is present with all versions of WinQVT prior to 3.3 when used under Windows 2.1. Between 2.03 and 2.1, Microsoft changed something in their code which caused the 'TransmitCommChar' function to stop working. Therefore, all versions of WinQVT from 3.3 and above use 'WriteComm' instead." They say that the current version of WinQVT is 3.6, and it has refinements over 3.2. It is available at serveral locations including Compuserve and also by writing to: QPC Software P.O.Box 226 Penfield, NY 14526 By the way, how do we go about updating the copy of WinQVT32 that is on SIMTEL20? -- Pean
