[comp.windows.ms] Demo MS Windows program

usenet@cps3xx.UUCP (Usenet file owner) (06/24/89)

I have written a fairly small MS Windows application that does
a few of the things that people in this newsgroup have been asking
about. For instance, the program does asynchronous communications
and handles multiple windows.
The program isn't too interesting itself yet, but it may be of instructional
value. The program, which I am placing in the public domain,
can be found in the file "mrr1.zip" available via anonymous ftp from:

   clvax1.cl.msu.edu 35.8.2.1

The package includes source and binary, as well as sample data files.
You'll need pkunzip.exe to unpack it. This program is also available
from the same site. (I didn't write pkunzip, of course.) There are
a few other MS Windows applications there, as well.

I set all this up a few months ago in response to some requests in this
newsgroup, then never got around to making a posting!

Hi Mark and all other comp.windows.ms readers...

Mark mentioned that he placed a demo for MS-Windows somewhere for
people to ftp it to their machines. Well, I would like ask Mark and
other people if they could also send the encoded binary files to the
the moderator of comp.binaries.ibm.pc or even post it to this newsgroup.
Much of usenet cannot ftp files around (to the best of my knowledge),
and I know that my node won't do it.

Looking forward to seeing more MS-Windows programs...

  Enjoy,
  Alan
