The performance of 386 window on PS/2 70 (16MHZ) seems to be pretty slow. It takes more than 30 second to start, and worse, the COMMAND window responds quite slowly to the regular DOS commands. Is there something wrong with the parameters in the win.ini file? thanks, --ghodsi@shire.cs.psu.edu

Try setting the 'tasking options' to 'exclusive' in the command windows
system menu 'settings'.

Sorry, I was way off! It is actually much slower than this. It takes over 90 second to start the windows. 'chkdsk' takes 30 seconds on DOS-COMMAND window; almost unusable. >> Is there something wrong >> with the parameters in the win.ini file? >> thanks, Mohammad Ghodsi ghodsi@shire.cs.psu.edu -----------------------
