Hello,
I am having trouble with a bitmap that our app displays
on startup. Someone created it but forgot how it was
done. Now I need to modify it (it contains the software
version number ... bad move) and nothing I have tried
can read it in. Here are some of the things I have tried
iconedit, paint, easel, inavision,
designer, pagemaker, xvtdraw
I think that is all of them.
Now here is the kicker, I created a bitmap with iconedit
and used it in place of the one I want to modify. The program
displayed it fine although it was 1/4 of the size of the
one I want to modify. This makes me think that the bitmap
I have is in a standard format, but which one.
any hints would be appreciated
thanks much

It's got a really neat color bitmap editor that would probably do the trick for you. It'll be available in the middle of September if you can wait till then. -- "I place my faith in fools.
