I use a Headland VRAM board and I too was frustrated by the lack of 256 color drivers. Some drivers for the 640 by 480 mode in 256 colors for Windows 286 are on the way in the mail so I will report back when they get here. As far as the grey scale business is concerned, although one can have 256 palette entries, each RGB entry is only 6 bits long so I guess this means we really only have a 64 bit grey scale available. Is this simplistic assumption accurate ? Regards ... David
