Hi there, I have a problem with Excel (2.1). I can't seem to make the system (windows) use my Expanded memory to its fullest. Whenever I access any command, or when I call a macro, the hard disk is accessed, despite having 512K allocated for SmartDrive, and a 512K Ramdisk set up and pointed to by the Environment Variable TEMP. This is my configuration: AT clone 12mhz MS-DOS 3.3 2 Meg Intel Above Board 640K motherboard ram Windows 2.03 Excel 2.1 Environment Variable TEMP=f:\ (f: is a 512K ramdisk) SmartDrive set to 512K, with /a switch for expanded memory In WIN.INI swapdisk=f:\ /a swapsize=512 Does the swapsize, when set to 0, use the CLOCK program loaded as an icon as the first program loaded in determining the EMS space to allocate to swapping, or does it use the first application loaded for use (Excel)? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Peter Gowdy USENET: peter.gowdy@canremote.uucp --- * Via ProDoor 3.1R
