[comp.windows.ms] WINDOWS ON 512 K M/C

HELP!! I have a 386 machine made by Commodore (unfortunately). It has
512K on the motherboard (Intel) and 1.5 meg above board. I can't get
windows working. The memory management programs I've tried interfere
with Windows. Is there any hope for this clunker?

I have the '286 based Commodore PC CLone (PC-40 III) which comes with 640K
base RAM + 384 Extended RAM:. I have no problem running Windows/286 including
the HIMEM.SYS and SMARTDRV.SYS on extended RAM.
