[comp.windows.ms] cardfiles <=> ascii files

Does anyone know of a utility to convert MS-Windows cardfiles to ascii files
and/or vice-versa. The ascii file equivalent of a cardfile would be something
like; each card being represented by a group of contiguous lines, 
the first being the index line. A blank line would separate cards. (assuming
of course that there are no graphics in the cards).
