As I understand the situation, anyone who actually has copies of Windows 3.0 currently is bound under a non-disclosure agreement to Microsoft and hence cannot disclose what they have learned in a public forum. I suppose those not under such an agreement could speculate. Brian Perkin

I'll go over this again with a few addendum comments. At the moment I believe the most Microsoft has done is acknowledged that there is a new version of Windows in the works that that its number will be 3.0. As for other aspects of this unannounced, unreleased product we CANNOT say anything about it until Microsoft officially announces the thing. My addendum comments are as such. Keep an eye out for articles in the trade press. There was an article in InfoWorld recently that included screen shots and a lot of information on Windows 3.0. Microsoft has, I believe, an area in their phone system that will provide info that they're willing to talk about on the product. Just as a side note, you might find questions 2 and parts of 1 answered to some extent, but I'm pretty sure you'll just have to wait for answers to 3 and 4. -- "Organized fandom is composed of a bunch of nitpickers with a thing for trivial pursuit." -Harlan Ellison
