[comp.windows.ms] MSC 5.1 and QuickC with SDK

pcb@gator.cacs.usl.edu (Peter C. Bahrs) (02/20/90)

I am about to install windows 'again'. Hopefully I can get the
configuration right (win.ini XXX= some undocumented value).
(I am sick of basic memory considerations in DOS, ext vs emm vs 640???!)
anyway...
I have SDK versionNewest. I have QuickC 2.0 and MSC 5.1. Originally
I had the old QuickC with 5.1 and got an upgrade separately.
Should I use the libraries with SDK that came with 2.0, thus getting rid
of 5.1 libs?

When I spoke to Microsoft Product Support I was told that the
QC2.0 libraries were the latest and should be the ones used.
Don't forget that you still need the Windows specific libraries
that come with the SDK.
