Possibly a naive question: I am confused about exactly how Windows handles fonts. I know the SDK has the FontEdit program, which comes out with the .fon file for screen representation. However, when I take a look at PageMaker, it comes with some fonts which are not .fon files. What are these? Assuming screen fonts are always defined in .FON files, where does Windows look when it needs to print to a printer supporting higher resolution than the screen? Any information will be much appreciated. Thank you Milan. .
