[comp.windows.ms] Re^2: Getting Started with Windows

The WINSTUB.EXE (the standard stub program for Windows) or an equivalent
must be located in a directory specified by the PATH= -variable. The
stub must also be specified in the linker definition file, in which line
"STUB WINSTUB.EXE" defines WINSTUB.EXE being used for stub.

BTW, One can make one's own stub which does something more intelligent
than printing 'This program req...' - like such that automatically boots
Windows, when being started from DOS. Worth mentioning is that the stub
can be rather big without consuming memory at Windows on run-time. The
Windows loader discards the stub code upon loading.
