One thing I discovered with WFW is that it uses up as much memory as it can get its hands on when loaded. This is unlike Excel, for example, which uses the memory it needs, gets more, reclaims when it's done, etc. Thus, when I load WFW, then Excel (even on a Mod 70 with 9 megs), I get the "Not enough memory" error. Loading Excel first, however, works fine. Also, there's a setting in the [Microsoft Word] section of the WIN.INI file which will set a maximum limit on the amount of expanded memory WFW will use (can't remember what it is offhand, though :( ). I'm always the last to speculate but perhaps the memory management techniques used in WFW anticipate something about Windows 3 ??? (Sorry, had to do it...) matt.
