It seems to me from all this that I am missing something big. I thought that one of the advantages of using windows is the tentatively wide variety of fonts that would automatically become available to all windows apps. My impression of this is I would be able to call up BitStream and say "I want to purchase your typeface xyz for Windows", and they would send me a disk which I would insert into some drive, run control.exe and install the font. Instead, I am faced with no such thing available (at least not advertised as such); moreover, there is this confusing Bitstream Fontware stuff, and the even more confusing wfnboss that comes with CorelDraw. Even after reading the article in the latest PC Magazine about fonts and Windows, I am mightily confused. Anyone care to shed some light? Thanks! Milan .
