Is there an advantage to using DOS' "Share"? I know, like any "GOOD" user of a multi-tsking machine, I should make sure two things aren't modifying the same file, so use SHARE, but I encountered a strange error once, and I really don't think Share is that necessary. When I started Windows (with Share loaded), the background came up, things started to load, but then I received a "Share Violation" error... But... I wasn't doing anything which would spawn that error!? Is it really necessary to have Share loaded? What if two things modify the same file in a Windows environment? Won't Windows take care of that? Any advice is a help! -Dave -- Dave Eisenberg SUNY at Stony Brook Computer Science deisenb@csserv2.ic.sunysb.edu -or- deisenbe@sbccvm.bitnet
