I recently installed version 3.0, with great success. Many programs which did not run (not very well anyway) under win386 are working great. I am still having problems with PADS-pcb, a board layout package. I created a pif file, and managed to get PADS running in an exclusive window. The problem now is that I don't have quite enough memory to load my data files. Under DOS, I can only load this file if I run no TSRs and cut my files and buffers in config.sys to < 10. The question is, is there some trick I could use to get a DOS shell under windows which has as much memory available as straight DOS? My PADS version does not support expanded memory and in fact will not run if expanded memory is found. My system is an Intel 16Mhz 386 development machine with 3 megabytes of RAM. I am running in 386 enhanced mode. Respond via email, or post if the solution is of interest to the net. Thanks in advance.
