I never saw the first posting I did of this, so I'm assuming it never made it out... I would like to know what the effect of having an SVGA display/card-- specifically the Video 7 VRAM w/512K--is under Windows 3.0, assuming the proper hi-res drivers are available (I've heard they are). Do you get more, but smaller, text on the screen, or do you get the same amount but with better resolution (i.e better-formed characters)? It seems both should be possible-- either use the VGA system fonts or the 8514/A fonts. Has anyone tried this? Is there an easy way to switch between the VGA and 8514/A fonts w/o hacking SYSTEM.INI and restarting Windows? Basically, someone with poor eyesight wants an SVGA system but could not read the small characters used... On a completely different note, is there a real-time spelling checker for Win 3.0 available? I'm thinking of something along the lines of Turbo Lightening, that checks spelling as you type.. Please replay by e-mail; I'll post results if there is interest... Thanks in advance...
