It's fixed! After nasty letters and seven trips to the dealer, the shimmy problem that just wouldn't go away on my 1984 Honda Accord is COMPLETELY GONE!! I still can't believe how good the car drives now. How did they finally fix it? They balanced the wheels ON THE CAR. This makes a lot of sense to me, and I have never understood why it isn't always done that way. Anyway, for those of you who wrote me with suggestions, THANK YOU! For those of you with the shimmy problem, you might try a speed shop to balance the wheels on the car (we have a Porsche place here in Denver that spin-balances wheels on the car at 100 mph.)
