Being about to use the File Manager to copy files into the Program Manager is fantastic. This cooperation between programs is what Windows is all about. I have been wanting a similar capability for the Dos Executive for a long time. Last night I was examining the interactions between theses two programs with spy. I was at first thinking that they might be useing the DDE, but it looks like they have registered their own messages with Windows and are communicating via message passing. Has anyone else looked into this yet? I would like to know what format these messages are in so that I could write some programs which could use the File Manager for picking is files.
