Trying to read in a 700Kb ASCII vertical tabs formatted file into Excel using the Open command on the file menu. "About Excel" shows 16Mb workspace. Even so, the Ascii file readin only accepts about the 300Kb first characters. Possi ble workaround would be to write a small program converting ASCII-format to tru e Excel format, but I really would not like to take on this job ..... Any suggestions ?
