[net.auto] Answers to Buying a Car in Japan

ecl@hocsj.UUCP (10/27/84)

Thanks to all who responded. Everyone told me that the Japanese steering
wheel is on the right; I knew this (having been to Japan once before for
an overnight stop on the way to China, and also from general knowledge).
However, this is not illegal in the U.S.--Post Office vehicles often have
and I have driven them there several times. They're not that hard to get
used to. The emissions controls are probably the real problem. We will
probably just go ahead and buy the car here.

Thanks again.
