I was wondering if anyone has posted an upgrade to GCP/EASEL that allows one to read 256 shade GIFs or other format images under the WIN environment. CSHOW, etc shell out fine, however I would like to have some of these images stay in the Windows Environment for selection and pasting. I am also interested n whether anyone has developed (or if there is any interest in) a program that allows display and manipulation (cut, paste, ROI drawing, hist, etc) of 8 bit images ranging in size from 32x32 to 256x256. There is a call for this in our laboratory and others locally here, and before I start out on this type of project I want to find out if there is anything else available (I would rather spend my time asking the questions than developing software). Thanks in advance (BTW, I tried GCP/EASEL with the new Paradise driver set and they didn't work either for display of any resolution 256 shade GIF images) -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-| Gregg Cohen University of Iowa Department of Psychiatry Mental Health Clinical Research Center 1-160A PH University of Iowa Iowa City, IA 52242 INTERNET cohen@brodmann.iaf.uiowa.edu BITNET cmdgropg@uiamvs ATTNET (319)353-6358 Mental Health is more than a state of mind! -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-|

I posted GCP to comp.binaries.ibm.pc, but there is a time lag before it will appear. Bob Goodearl -- goodearl@world.std.com
