[comp.windows.ms] Memory Management Problem

Windowers,
    I'm having a problem with memory management in my windows app.
Whenever I go down a several levels of windows and try to bring
up the next level, Windows reports that I am out of conventional
memory.  Here's the catch.  If I reposition the window, MS
Executive reports that I have 360K conventional and the window
comes up fine from then on.

    Here's my hardware/software configuration:  HP Vectra R/S 20,
3 meg expanded, HPEMM386 memory manager, Windows 286 2.11.

    If anyone has a solution it would be greatly appreciated.  One
other note:  I have to stay with Windows 286 because there is a
large user base that uses this version of Windows.
