Does anyone in this newsgroup know if Microsoft offers educational discounts on Windows SDK? It would seem to me that such discounts would get a lot more people to start programming in Windows a lot earlier, which would lead to accumulating a lot more experience. Thank you all in advance. Yes. MS does offer educational pricing on initial purchases to Educational Institutions. They do not sell direct to inidividuals at the Educational prices. Discounts are in the 35% to 40% range. MS Educational sales can be reached at: (800) 227-4679 They will answer the phone Corporate Sales or something like that.
