I posted a message a few days ago about having problems when I tried to run multiple dos windows under ms windows 3.0. The symptoms were that in one of the open windows, I'd get a message "memory allocation error, cannot load COMMAND, system halted". With the help of a response from Jun Hashimoto <jun-ha@ascii.co.jp>, I have found the problem. The problem turned out to be a TSR that I had loaded prior to starting windows. The one in question is called "ced". This is a utility that keeps a command history and allows command recall with the up- arrow key. Without that loaded, the DOS apps seem to be fine (I hav still gotten "the application has breached system integrity" a couple of times, but that's probagbly due to misbehaved dos programs.) Thanks, Jun, and I hope this helps anyone else experiencing similiar problems. Watch those TSR`s when running Windows! -- Bill Heiser Work: heiser@tdw201.ed.ray.com {decuac,necntc,uunet}!rayssd!tdw201!heiser Home: Bill.Heiser@f240.n322.z1.fidonet.org (Fidonet 1:322/240) The Think_Tank BBS (508)655-3848 1200/2400/9600-HST Other: 75106.2332@compuserve.com Other: heiser@world.std.com (Public Access Unix)
